SHAPE BENDING MILL FOR MAKING TUBES WITH FOLDED SEAM Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of bent closed type shapes, mainly closed tubes with folded seam. SUBSTANCE: after last shaping stand of mill there is cut off apparatus for separating produced tubes. Cut off apparatus includes inlet and outlet cutting die halves with openings. Mandrel of holder is in the form of working rod with cylindrical tip placed in opening of inlet cutting die-half in such a way that end of tip is arranged in the same plane with cutting face of die-half. Cut-off apparatus is in the form of detachable support with two mutually normal grooves in parting plane normal relative to lengthwise axis of shape. Two driven cutter-punches are mounted in said grooves with possibility of motion along grooves. Rotation drive of working shafts is in the form of chain transmissions. In last stand of mill lower and upper working shafts are kinematically joined one with another by means of pinions. Tube is rolled of coiled band and rolled tube is divided by measured lengths in mill line. EFFECT: lowered labor consumption, enhanced efficiency of mill, improved quality of end portions of tubes. 3 cl, 11 dwg
