FIELD: reprocessing of chemical and electrochemical industry wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding basic burden into salt melt; melting in salt tank at temperature exceeding copper melting temperature point, with following casting into ingots and semi-finished products. According to embodiment, method involves preliminarily removing iron from secondary raw material; feeding burden into alkali and earth metal melt and melting at temperature exceeding copper melting temperature point by 10-310 C; extracting liquid copper; removing scale from salt surface; repeating cycle, with volume ratio of fed burden and salt melt being maintained within the range of (2-3.4): 1. Copper-containing secondary raw material in the form of copper wires in polymer and cotton isolation is molten in salt melt of the following composition, wt%: NaF 28.3; CaF2 28.3; BaCl2 the balance. Copper-containing secondary raw material containing fiber glass and mica is molten at temperature of 1,250-1,300 C in bottle glass melt. Mixture used as melt has the following composition, wt%: BaCl2 50-80;CaCl2 20-50. Copper-containing secondary raw material in the form of bare wires with lacquered insulation is molten in salt melt of sodium carbonate.
