FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: silumins are modified by way of their introducing into salt melt based on KCl- NaCl eutectic mixture with 6-17% NaF or 20-40% BaCl2, whereupon silumins are melted and kept under salt layer at 787-1017 C for 1-2 h. After alloy is removed, new silumin portion is added to salt melt, height of the latter over metal being maintained within 2.2-30 cm range and metal to salt melt ratio being 1:(0.5-2.5). EFFECT: increased alloy modification degree and simultaneously achieved refinement of alloy from oxide films and intermetallides. 3 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
