FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed steam engine has chamber in which fuel is combusted, water injection chambers, piston movement chambers, holes to let out steam and device converting reciprocating motion of piston into shaft rotation. Fuel combustion chamber has boiler arranged upside down whose outer surface is heated owing to combustion of fuel. Fuel combustion chamber with boiler, water injection chamber and piston movement chamber are arranged inside one cylinder in height and piston movement converter is made in form of crankshaft. Water in injection chamber is turned into steam around entire outer volume of boiler and, owing to change of its aggregative state from liquid into steam, its volume increases 1700 times. This process takes place in cylinder until crankshaft turns completely. EFFECT: improved ecological characteristics of engine. 2 cl, 2 dwg
