FIELD: "mole" type detection systems for locating foreign matter in pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: proposed detector includes power supply unit, antenna unit which is sensitive to magnetic or electromagnetic field and display unit connected to it. Antenna unit includes variable-resistance magnetic field film transducer, two magnetic field concentrators made in form of prisms from magnetically-soft material and amplifier. Power supply source is connected to inputs of magnetic field transducer whose outputs are connected to amplifier inputs; amplifier outputs are connected to inputs of signal processing and display unit. EFFECT: possibility of making pocket-sized detectors for finding scrapers, inter-tube profilometers and flat detectors and other objects either moving or stopped in pipe lines. 17 cl, 2 dwg
