FIELD: industrial construction, technology evaluating technical condition of production buildings. SUBSTANCE: procedure evaluating industrial safety of production buildings is based on execution of inspections and calculations and provides for establishment of actual parameters in the course of inspection, determination of loads and permissible values of parameters by computation, comparison of permissible and measured values of parameters, determination of extent of fitness of industrial buildings for further safe use. First preliminary inspection program that includes type of structure of production buildings, number and list of parameters is drawn up on base of analysis of design, construction, operational documentation, technical specifications and preliminary survey. Then parameters are measured in correspondence with preliminary inspection program, results of measurement of parameters of structures of production buildings are compared with their permissible values established beforehand and decision on determination of number of structures for detail instrumental inspection of its members is made. Parameters of members of structures for detail inspection are established, detail inspection of members of structures is conducted and results of detail instrumental inspection of members of structures are used to evaluate fitness of production building for further safe use and causes of disagreement between measured and permissible parameters are found. EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities in process of evaluation of industrial safety of production buildings, provision for their safe use thanks to more efficient control of condition of their structural members at various stages of design, erection and use by securing correspondence of conditions of use to design requirements, by timely determination of defects and damages and by conducting required repairs on this basis. 50 cl, 2 tbl
