FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: radiation detection apparatus includes a plurality of pixels, each having a photoelectric converting element for converting incident radiation into an electrical signal and a first switching element connected to the photoelectric converting element and a second switching element which is not connected to the converting element; a first signal line; a second signal line; and an excitation line in which the first switching element has a first main electrode which is electrically connected to the first signal line, a second main electrode which is electrically connected to the photoelectric converting element, a gate electrode which is electrically connected to the excitation line; the second switching element has a first main electrode connected to the second signal line, and a gate electrode which is electrically connected to excitation wiring which is common with the first switching element, and differential apparatus for outputting a signal which corresponds to the difference between outputs of the first and second switching elements.

EFFECT: reduced noise on the image.
