FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the method includes stages of mixing the whole blood sample containing erythrocytes with an anticoagulant solution by forming the first suspension of erythrocytes, concentrating erythrocytes out of liquid part of the first suspension to obtain the mass of thickened erythrocytes, mixing the latter with conserving solution consisted of glucose, adenine and salt by forming the second suspension of erythrocytes, decreasing the level of erythrocytic oxygen in the second suspension of erythrocytes to about 8+ACU- against their level of saturation or below by washing erythrocytes with inert gas and cooling the second suspension of erythrocytes to 4 C. EFFECT: higher safety of erythrocytic quality, prolonged viability of erythrocytes in vivo in post- transfusion period. 14 cl, 4 dwg
