FIELD: methods of production of liquid hydrocarbon products from carbon dioxide. SUBSTANCE: method includes reaction carbon dioxide containing impurities of carbon monoxide, sulfur and nitrogen oxides with water in presence of catalyst. Process is carried out in liquid phase in presence of alkali reagent at pH 7.5-14.0. Carbon dioxide is passed through liquid phase at rate not exceeding the rate of water evaporation. Catalyst is used in from of salts of metal selected from groups of chlorides, nitrates, sulfides or oxides of metals taken separately or in combination. Preferably, method is realized at temperature of 20-300 C and pressure of 1-100 atm. Metals are used from group including copper, cobalt, nickel, iron, manganese, cerium, molybdenum, tungsten, zinc. Alkali reagent is used in from of hydroxides of sodium potassium, carbonates and bicarbonates of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium.
