DEVICE FOR EVALUATING ADHESION PROPERTIES OF HARD-SURFACE ROAD Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: hard-surface roads and air fields; proximate checking of adhesion properties of roads under construction and in service. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing on which main and additional loading mechanisms are mounted which are mechanically coupled with tire simulator. Coupling of tire simulator with main loading mechanism is provided through rolling support engaging with tire simulator surface. Tire simulator is made in form of wheel and is arranged between two plates forming a lever to which it is connected through pair of diametrically arranged hinge joints. Lever, as a whole, is hinge-coupled with walls of housing and with movable of additional loading mechanism. Geometrical axis of turning of tire simulator coincides with similar axis of turning of lever relative to housing walls. EFFECT: improved accuracy and reliability of evaluation of adhesion properties of hard-surface roads. 2 cl, 3 dwg
