FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying tight flexible bandage to the leg from down to the inferior boundary of thrombus. The central end of the large saphena vein is ligated together with its tributaries. Distal end of the large saphena segment is opened. The thrombus is removed by means of Fogarty catheter. Sclerosing agent is injected with following manual compression of the large saphena and flexible compression of the extremity to the inguinal area. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications.
