FIELD: units for purification of liquid media, mainly drinking water and waste water from polar and nonpolar organic agents, ions of heavy metals, active chlorine and removal of them in the course of electrochemical regeneration. SUBSTANCE: reclaimable unit includes electrochemical cell consisting of at least two elements made from mixture of carbon materials possessing high specific surface and sorption capacity of one of them. At least one element is made in form of permeable sorption active layer on substrate where permeable sorption active layer is made from mixture of carbon material including activated carbon materials one of which consists of activated carbon fibers. Ratio of volume of permeable sorption active layer to volume of substrate is no less than 1. Placed between said elements is baffle. Liquid media purification plant includes filtration unit with reclaimable unit described above, power supply unit and control unit. EFFECT: possibility of performing repeated regeneration elements; reduced power requirements; increased service life. 12 cl, 7 dwg
