FIELD: mechanical engineering; carburetor and diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed liquid cooling jacket has sleeve, inlet and outlet branch pipes, upper inlet and lower outlet spaces with housing arranged between spaces and sleeve and separating upper and lower spaces from cooling space of cylinder sleeve and provided with slots parallel to cylinder sleeve axis made tangentially to inner surface of housing from upper inlet space to cooling space of cylinder sleeve and tangentially to inner surface of housing from cooling space of cylinder sleeve to lower outlet space. Inlet and outlet branch pipes are made in housing of cylinder block jacket. Upper inlet branch pipe is connected by channel with upper inlet space, lower outlet branch pipe is connected by channel with lower outlet space connected by bypass branch pipe with cooling space of cylinder block head. Slots in housing of upper and lower belts are made tangentially to inner surface of housing and in the same direction. EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life of engine owing to provision of optimum temperature condition of cylinder sleeve wall at different modes of operation. 3 dwg
