FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has bearing insert having concave spherical surface A having central point Ms and articulation ball member having convex spherical surface with central point Mk usually arranged in rotating symmetrical relation with respect to fastening axle D in the direction of femoral cervix of the artificial rod-like part of the hip joint. The bearing insert and the ball member are manufactured from wear- resistant metal. Surface A has mean radius of Rm and surface B has mean radius of rm, their difference being et 35 mcm < Rm - rm < 85 mcm. Shape error of surface A is less than plus/minus 7.5 mcm per an angle of 90°<α<180°. Shape error of surface B is less than plus/minus 2 mcm per an angle of β>140°. The articulation ball member continues outside of surface B with surface C that is less remote from point Mk than surface B. Roughness of surface A corresponds to a value of Ra < 0.08 mcm. EFFECT: avoided micro-welding and wear in the artificial articulation. 12 cl, 7 dwg
