FIELD: prosthetics; orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: proposed joint comprises framework 1 consisting of hip joint lever 2 and ankle joint lever 3 with elements for fastening them to extremity. Both levers are interconnected by pivot assembly comprising freely movable coupling mounted on link pin so as to be able to perform one-sided rotary movement. Pivot assembly is operatively coupled to framework. There is also provided mechanism for positioning pivot assembly. This mechanism additionally comprises at upper end of ankle joint lever 3 stop member 30 with projection. Mechanism also comprises turning cam 31 disposed on pivot assembly shaft and slider 28 which is movable in relation to ankle joint lever 3. Cam 31 and slider 28 can cooperate with one another, while slider 28 is also capable of cooperating with roller 34 arranged in lower part of hip joint lever 2. Cam and slider are interconnected by common compression spring. Framework further comprises supporting platform articulately connected with lower end of ankle joint lever 3. Pivot assembly is formed so as to be able to limit angular movements. Supporting platform includes phalangeal platform which is operatively coupled to cam. EFFECT: greater flexibility and maneuverability of proposed knee joint prosthesis for patients, particularly during walking downstairs and during squatting. 3 dwg
