FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing mounted on siphon tube and provided with inlet and outlet openings axially aligned with siphon tube, membrane rupturing device with pyrotechnic cartridge, and holder for membrane rupturing device. Holder is made in the form of streamlined catcher located inside casing in axial alignment with inlet and outlet openings of casing so as to define annular passage for fire suppressing liquid. Membrane rupturing device is made in the form of cylindrical rod spring-loaded with respect to catcher and adapted for closing casing inlet opening. Cylindrical rod has conical shield located on one end and directed toward siphon tube and fixing pin located on other end and axially aligned with conical shield. Guiding channel in conical shield is adapted for passage of fixing pin upon rupturing of membrane. Apparatus provides for fast discharge of fire suppressing liquid and allows balloons with fire suppressing liquid to be readily built into batteries for forming system of required capacity.
