FIELD: transport engineering; railway transport. SUBSTANCE: heated tank for fluid medium has barrel with base, charging and discharging devices, heating unit in form of butt-joined plates with inlet and outlet branch pipes and labyrinth channels on their lower sides to pass heat transfer agent and drain condensate into condensate box. Plates are arranged inside barrel with false bottom equipment and are butt-joined with tilting towards discharging device. The latter is bottom drain hole with steam jacket provided with condensate outlet union. Heated tank has unit for decreasing amplitude of resonance vibrations in zone of butt-joints of plates consisting of at least two frames and strip secured on plates under welded seam of plate butt joint. Condensate box has upper and lower chambers. Each upper chamber made in form of chute communicates outlet sections of labyrinth channel, and lower chamber is arranged on outer surface of tank barrel enclosing the zone around steam jacket of bottom drain hole being connected with the latter. Upper chambers are placed in communication with lower chamber by means of branch pipes, diameter of each branch pipe being not less than 1/3rd of chute width. Special device to compensate action of air medium under false bottom at fluctuations of ambient medium temperature onto plate attachment seams is mounted on tank barrel. Frames can be installed on tank barrel at a distance of 3-3.4 m from one another. Air medium action compensator can be formed by union with adjusting screw and pipeline to place air space under false bottom in communication with charging device.
