FIELD: railway transport; tank cars. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat exchange elements installed in railway tank car for heating and accelerating discharge of viscous materials. Proposed tank car installed on platform body has two closed end plates and cylindrical shell with discharge valve arranged in lower part of shell between closed end plates, and heating device. The latter is placed inside the tank in its lower part and it consists of heating pipes fitted in one of end faces of boiler and arranged over its entire length. Steam feed pipes are arranged inside each heating pipe. Steam feed pipes are provided with holes to let out steam which are arranged in staggered order. Heating pipes are connected from outer side of boiler end face by means of collectors with unions to feed steam and drain condensate. Heating pipes are installed on supports with tilting towards steam inlet and condensate outlet. Condensate drain union is installed at angle of 20 deg relative to condensate drain collector. Use of proposed design of railway tank car for viscous oil products with heating makes it possible to simplify design of heating device, intensify heating of tank carried products, accelerate draining of product, reduced cost owing to reduced metal usage and labor input, increase reliability and manufacturability.
