FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: method for transportation of oil products consists in heating the upper half of the tank by infra-red radiation and cooling its lower half by blowing cold air after filling oil product into the tank. If the initial temperature difference between the upper and lower layers of the oil in a filled boiler exceeds 40°C, the oil product passes into the high-viscosity state only in a thin layer near the walls, forming a heat-insulating shell. A tank for transportation of viscous oil products, including a boiler (1) mounted on carts with an upper filling hatch and a lower drain pipe, contains ribs (2, 3) installed on the outer surface of the lower half and on the inner surface of the upper half of the boiler walls. The ribs installed perpendicular to the horizontal axis of the boiler and crossing its welded seams, strengthen the boiler structure, enhance heat transfer and compensate for the thermal stresses of the boiler.
EFFECT: invention accelerates drainage and reduces cost of thermal energy.
