FIELD: petroleum and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing aqueous-base muds. Hydrogel mud comprises alumochloride, sodium chloride, stabilizing agent, cement as a primer (in part, cement crumbles forming in the process of drilling out a cement bridge) and water taken in the following ratio of components, wt.%: alumochloride, 0.67-2; sodium chloride, 0.1-20.0; stabilizing agent, 1.5-3.0; cement, 0.8- 2.24; water, the balance. Hydrogel mud is prepared feeding into the pore the preliminary prepared an aqueous solution of sodium chloride and alumochloride that is mixed with cement crumbles forming in the process of drilling out cement bridge. Method provides the enhancement of stability of mud to "production" of high-colloidal clays and the use of available waste of production. Invention can be used in drilling and mastering of productive sheets at underground and overhauling repairs of holes.
