FIELD: location of ground objects. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods of remote determination of coordinates of position of ground object with employment of remote-controlled aircraft. Signals of picture of section of terrain within field of vision of surveillance system are generated with the aid of surveillance system mounted aboard of remote-controlled aircraft for turn in vertical plane and roll stabilized. In addition airborne equipment determines geographic latitude Wrсa and longitude Qrсa of aircraft position, flight altitude H of aircraft above sea level, magnetic course Kmo of its longitudinal axis and deviation angle Fo of axis of field of vision of surveillance system from vertical. Signals of picture, Wrсa,Qrсa, H, Kmo,Fo are transmitted over communication channel to ground point, where this information is received, signals of picture are presented on screen of indicator of ground point and the rest of information is entered in computer of ground point. Digital map of area where flight of remote-controlled aircraft is planned, dependence of height Hp of points of relief of section of terrain on their geographic latitude W and longitude Q, angle of dip G, parameters Ap, Ep of dependence of Rz(W) of radius Rz of reference ellipsoid of the Earth on geographic latitude as well as parameters of field of vision of surveillance system and screen are entered in computer beforehand, ground objects are detected and identified, coordinates of representation of ground objects are measured and entered in computer where values of geographic coordinates Wt and Qt of position of ground object are computed with use of all entered information. EFFECT: reduced mass of equipment installed on remote-controlled aircraft, reduced consumption of electric energy from airborne source. 4 dwg
