FIELD: orientation of vision field of surveillance systems installed on board aircraft piloted remotely in vertical plane. SUBSTANCE: values of width Fvf of vision field of surveillance system in vertical plane, maximum range of detection of ground object by operator of ground control point receiving information from surveillance system and interval dθo of change of angle are entered in advance and stored in computer mounted on board of remotely piloted aircraft. In process of flight of remotely piloted aircraft present values of speed V and altitude H of its flight above ground surface, of angle θla of orientation of its longitudinal axis relative to axis of vertical gyroscope and of angle θ of orientation of surveillance system with reference to longitudinal axis are measured aboard aircraft, these measured values are input into computer which computes present values Fvf of angle of orientation of vision field of surveillance system with regard to axis of vertical gyroscope and optimum required value dθo of this angle with use of values of width θla, maximum range of detection, interval θ of change of angle, altitude, speed, angle θo and θor and these values θo and θоr are compared and surveillance system is turned in vertical plane till value θo matches value θоr.
