FIELD: cleaning gases from inorganic and organic admixtures; metallurgy, mechanical engineering; cleaning waste gases of melting furnaces, welding units, paint-and-varnish chambers, etc; heat-power engineering; chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes passing gas to be cleaned through barrier discharge zone keeping it in this zone for at least 3 ms at frequency of discharge current of 4.7 to 6.4 kHz and voltage of from 6.0 to 8.9 kV. Prior to admitting waste to barrier discharge zone, they are cleaned from coarse-dispersed particle by passing them through coarse filter made from basalt material. After barrier discharge zone, gas to be cleaned is passed through capacitor at electric field having intensity of no less than 5×105 V/m and through fine filter.
