FIELD: machine engineering, namely constructions of sealings of rotating shafts and rotors of hydraulic turbines, gas-turbine engines, plants and other rotary machines. SUBSTANCE: sectionized sealing unit includes flexible sections secured to housing. Said sections are joined with contact surface of movable member and divide high- and low-pressure cavities. Gap between sections is covered by means of apron whose surfaces are engaged with adjacent sections and with housing. In description of invention shapes of profile of section with apron and different constructional members for optimizing sealing efficiency are offered. In sectionized sealing gap between contact surfaces of supporting portion of section and contact surface of movable member is communicated with high-pressure source.
