FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designs of seals for rotating shafts of gas-and steam-turbine engines, plants, compressors and superchargers and piston compressors and internal combustion engines. Serviceability of seal is increased owing to the fact that sealing elements of seal are made to provide constant non-contact mating of movable sealing surfaces. Relative coupling of sealing element-separator with bore of housing and spaces of low and high pressure is described. EFFECT: increased reliability of sealing. 25 cl, 22 dwg
