METHOD TO TREAT CUTANEOUS MELANOMAS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: method provides for ultrasound test of melanoma. Then the latter is affected by Nd-impulse laser radiation. The impact is conducted by 1-7 impulses at their 4.5 msec duration. During irradiation healthy skin is taken around melanoma at 0.8-2.0 cm against extreme protruding edge of a tumor. Intensity of radiation "I" is calculated by the formula: I = , (kW/cm²), where x is extreme thickness of a tumor, mm; ΔT -T is impulse duration, msec; A, B, a, b is empirical coefficients being: A = is 250 J/cm², B = 800 J/cm², a = 0.882 mm^-1, b = 0.804.
