FIELD: measurement technology; level control devices. SUBSTANCE: level gauge has radiator, photodetector and guide light conducting tube accommodating float with optical light signal processing element. Light conduits are arranged in pairs along light conducting tube. Height of optical light signal processing element exceeds step of vertical arrangement of light conduits. Photoluminescent screen, optical prism or mirror screen can be used as optical light signal processing element. EFFECT: enlarged range of devices employed for measuring liquid level. 4 cl, 2 dwg
