FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: object of invention includes level measurement by obtaining and processing of data concerning two-dimensional image of two laser beams crossing thin transparent film surface fixed at given level, measured level surface and phase division level surface. Measured level is calculated by formula: where h1 is level of thin transparent film; b1 is additional value determined by construction; l1 is distance between cross points of laser beams with thin transparent film measured by television camera and digital computation device; l2 is distance between cross points of laser beams with fluid surface measured by television camera and digital computation device. Measured phase division level is calculated by formula: , where α2 is laser beam refraction angle; l3 is distance between cross points of laser beams with phase division level surface measured by television camera and digital computation device. Device for fluid level measurement includes television camera connected to digital computation device by link channel, two lasers and thin transparent film connected optically to television camera. Television camera is positioned above reservoir right in the centre of line connecting both laser axes, while lasers are mounted in upper reservoir part, so that their beams form angle α, and thin transparent film is fixed at given angle.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability due to absence of contact to measured medium, and extended functional capacity of device due to laser use for phase division level metering.
