FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method of determining organics in aqueous solutions includes adding sample to be analyzed to bromine-containing solution prepared by generation from potassium bromide, after which sample is quantitatively analyzed. Generation is performed in buffer solution at pH 6-7 in presence of sensitizer Bengal pink and ammonium persulfate affected by incandescent lamp irradiation. Evaluation of quantity organics is performed by the aid of calibration plot. EFFECT: reduced determination time and expanded analytical possibilities. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
