FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method is realised by adding an analysed sample to a solution containing bromine obtained through generation from potassium bromide, with subsequent quantitative determination of the sample. The analysed sample is pre-adsorbed on a sorbent. Generation is carried out in phosphate buffer solution at pH 7-8 on a graphite electrode, and quantitative determination of the sample is carried out directly on the sorbent through coulometric titration with electrogenerated bromine with subsequent calculation based on the titration time and current.

EFFECT: determination of organic substances in solutions and with their negligible content with minimal expenses on labour and equipment, wider range of analytical methods of determining organic substances.
