FIELD: gas cleaning devices. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for dry inertial cleaning of dust-laden gas in accompanying twisted gas flows. Proposed swirl dust trap has cylindrical separation chamber with secondary flow intake branch pipe in upper part, swirler and axial branch pipe to let out cleaned gas. Branch pipe to let in primary dust-laden gas flow with cylindrical fairing, vane swirler and stabilizing device is found in lower part of chamber. Novelty is use of stabilizing fairings in upper zone of trap. EFFECT: reduced formation of spurious vortices and entraining of dust. 2 cl, 2 dwg
