FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning gas of dust and may be used in heat engineering, metallurgy, production of construction materials etc. Vortex dust arrester comprises cylindrical casing, its top section being equipped with axial clean gas discharge pipe and rectangular-section tangential inlet with swirler for secondary gas flow to be cleaned. Casing bottom section accommodates tangential pipe for axial feed of gas primary flow with swirler, cone and baffle ring, large-diameter conical cylinder dust catching chamber, clean air discharge pipe and arrested dust discharge pipe and unloader. Clean gas axial discharge pipe outer surface, under aforesaid swirler, conical cap is arranged to diverge downward and to deflect swirled down secondary gas glow to casing wall from dangerous zone under clean gas discharge axial pipe.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
