FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely production of rimming steels. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of melting semifinished product with carbon content (0.03-0.06)%, discharging it to ladle, introducing aluminum to ladle and subsequent casting of ready steel to ingot molds. Aluminum is introduced to ladle at discharging melt metal in quantity 1kg/ton of steel. Then according to result of chemical analysis for determining aluminum content additionally adding aluminum, for example in the form of rod in quantity received from expression: Qal = 0.362 - 12.66[Al]ads -0.07[mn]ads, where Qal - consumption of aluminum in aggregate for finishing steel, kg; [Al]ads,[Mn]ads - content of aluminum and manganese in steel sample in aggregate for finishing steel, %. Method provides desired oxygen content in metal after rolling metal to round rod 6.5-45 mm having compact uniform macrostructure.
