FIELD: construction of double-bath steel melting aggregates used for melting steel in ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: aggregate includes melting bathes in the form of two horizontal cylinders arranged coaxially according to mirror fashion and provided at outer ends (closed by means of fluid-tight covers) with individual drive units and having gas openings on inner ends at side of bath interaction. Individual drive units of bathes provide their turning around vertical axis by 360 degrees. In order to supply charge materials, to blow oxygen and to inspect technological process, each bath has technological window in the form of mouth whose dimensions correspond to those of mechanisms for supplying charge material, of oxygen tuyeres, of units for inspecting melting parameters and discharging technological gases. In order to drain melting products each bath has opening for discharging steel provided with device for cutting off slag. Technological window and steel discharging opening of each bath are placed along vertical axis of bath and shifted one relative to another by angle 15-90 degrees. Apparatuses for blowing gas are mounted in addition in front of technological window. In order to provide fluid-tightness there is shutter in zone of bath interaction. Said shutter has powder and gaseous protection systems along circumferences of gas-discharging openings of bathes. EFFECT: simplified design of melting bathes, improved factor of heat using, reduced exhaust to atmosphere, enhanced efficiency of aggregate, increased yield of high- quality metal. 6 cl, 2 dwg
