FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: covering has carcass comprising lower framework composed of joined members, ridge tie-rod, pairs of spacers arranged between lower framework and ridge tie-rod and pivot hinges thereof, flexible covering placed over carcass and having sides and ends, and anchors for fixing covering to ground surface. Flexible covering is connected to carcass through attachment units. Lower framework and ridge tie-rod are made in the form of at least three parallel longitudinal joined rods. Units for hinged connection of parallel rod members are positioned for rotation through 180 deg. Spacers of each pairs are made flexible, are strained and positioned one opposite another in planes extending in parallel with covering axis. Covering ends are positioned so as to be opened. Carcass has at least one pair of spacers. Carcass may include second ridge tie-rod made in the form longitudinal joined rod and arranged in parallel with first pair of spacers. Spacers of each pair of spacers are arranged in planes inclined at an angle one to another or in crossed relation. Longitudinal joined rods of ridge tie-rods are arranged in close relation one with respect to another and interconnected so as to be disconnected. Covering is designed for closing plant ridges and may be used as tourist or trade equipment. Such construction enables covering to be permanently stretched, allows sizes to be changed and film to be laid in two layers with air space between them and covering portions to be joined in longitudinal and transverse direction of ridge. Plants in ridge may be watered without necessity of lifting covering. EFFECT: simplified construction, convenient transportation, mounting and storage. 25 cl, 29 dwg
