FIELD: sugar production. SUBSTANCE: method envisages charging strike at temperature 68-72 C into rotor of periodic-mode filtration centrifuge until desired layer thickness is attained. During centrifugation, first liquor from the sugar crystals is separated and crystals are washed with water at 80-95 C in 15-25 s after loading of strike and second liquor is separated. Washing of crystals with water begins after separation of the first liquor in amount 97-98% of its weight in the strike. Water is fed in separate portions during 5-7 s with 1-2 s interval between portions. After separation of liqueurs, sugar crystals are partially dried to moisture 0.8-1.5%. EFFECT: increased yield of sugar from centrifuge and reduced water consumption.
