FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for heating steel blanks for rolling in continuous, bar rolling and rod rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating blank until preset temperature of its surface at rate (0.065-0.35) C/s; sustaining gas temperature in cementation zone by (100-200)C higher than final heating temperature.
