FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy. Particularly it concerns production of sheets of thickness 20-50 mm made of carbonaceous and low-alloy steels of constructional purpose. Method includes heating of blanks, hot rolling with clamping by thickness in regulated temperature interval and cooling of sheets. Hot rolling is implemented in temperature interval from 1000-1250°C till 500-850°C with total percent reduction not less than 70%. Cooling of sheets is implemented with speed 2.7-10.5°C/hour till the temperature not higher than 100°C. Before cooling sheets with temperature 300-850°C are stacked on each other on fireproof supports, located n increments of 80-120 mm, after what it is subject to compulsory blow-off by air. Invention provides improving of sheets at simultaneous reduction of cooling cycle.
