METHOD FOR CULTURING AND REARING OF SHEMAYA Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: commercial fishery. SUBSTANCE: method includes stocking fish producers in autumn; holding in wintering ponds until temperature reaches value admissible for spawning; performing hormonal stimulation by providing hypophysis of carp and bream in doses of 6-7 mg/kg; holding embryos obtained after spawn incubation in fishing tanks; providing exogenous feeding by moving to ponds, where natural feed stock is prepared by introducing nitrogen-phosphate-potash fertilizers used in the ratio of 5:2 and 5:1, respectively; growing shemaya in ponds in mono- and polyculture with vamba settling density of 1-3 mln pc/ha, at vamba:shemaya ratio of 1.5-1.0; moving larva into ponds in two stages at 7-10 day interval. Method allows vigorous larva to be produced and let out into river. Method is designed for rearing fish by commercial method with following additional growing in ponds. EFFECT: simplified method and increased fish larva yield.
