FIELD: soap manufacture. SUBSTANCE: the method provides for saponification of a mixture containing fatty acids by an aqueous solution of alkali (NaOH). Still residue after distillation of fatty acids is used as a mixture saponification is acrried out in an aqueous solution of glycerol tar with a simultaneous dilution by water up to a concentration within 45 to 55% at the following ratio of components, mas.%: glycerol tar, 15 to 45; still residue after distillationof fatty acids, 10 to 30; water, the balance. EFFECT: reduced viscosity and enhanced concentration of end product. 1 tbl
