FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has working chamber incorporating burden charging device, crucible, heating sources, palletizer with rotational drive, and pellet collecting vessel. Palletizer is equipped with slots on its outer peripheral surface and with inner cooling cavity. Rotational drive is adapted for sequential rotation of palletizer to provide for alignment of slots with crucible discharge channel and, accordingly, for pouring melt, with following discharge of produced pellets by gravity. Apparatus of such construction allows high-density, homogeneous pellets to be produced from highly reactive metals, including wastes thereof. Pellets have optimal geometric dimensions and configuration, and controllable chemical composition. EFFECT: simplified construction and improved quality of pellets. 1 dwg
