FIELD: melting equipment, in particular, structural members of vacuum- are lining furnaces, plasma-are and electron beam furnaces with a cold hearth. SUBSTANCE: the crucible body is made of seamless rolled bimetallic plates containing a sheet of stainless steel. The cooling channels in the plates have an ellipsoid cross-section and a serpentine shape in plan. The channel inlet and outlet for connection of pipe-lines of the cooling system are positioned in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the channels. The crucible additionally has expansion joint of stainless steel installed in the rectilinear sections of the ducts of the cooling channels and rigidly connected to the sheet of stainless steel of the bimetallic plate. EFFECT: enhanced area of the cooled surface, provision of use of flexible expansion joints in separate sections of the cooling channels. 7 dwg
