FIELD: railway transport; electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed conductor has steel wire with nickel or chromium coating which serves as core which is wound by copper wires over which steel wires with nickel or chromium coating or nickel-chromium coating are wound. According to other design version, nickel-or chromium-coated wire serves as core being wound with copper wires with nickel or chromium coating over which copper-coated steel wires are placed. According to third design version, steel wire is a core wound with copper wires provided with nickel or chromium coating over which steel nickel-copper coated wires are placed. According to fourth version, at least one steel wire or nickel-or chromium-coated steel wire or copper-coated steel wire or nickel-copper coated steel wire is used as wire wound over core, and steel wires with nickel or chromium coating or copper or nickel-copper coating are wound over wires indicated above. EFFECT: increased service life, provision of sufficient flexible at reduced consumption of copper. 5 cl, 9 dwg
