FIELD: plastic metal working, namely processes for making rolled rods out of waste material of contact copper wires. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating copper contact wire having dents and recesses in such a way that dents are heated up to temperature of melting wire material in order to fill recesses with melt; rolling blank and cooling it in atmosphere providing reduction of wire material of oxide layer. EFFECT: simplified process for making rolled round copper rods at low costs. 6 dwg
