FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has magnetostrictive converter, supersonic vibration concentrator and emitter made from niobium, tantalum and alloys thereof. Working part of emitter is covered with aluminum layer treated with supersonic in cavitation mode. Emitter operating in longitudinal vibration mode is made from annealed rods having length multiple the length of longitudinal supersonic vibration wave at excitation frequency. Emitter operating in curved vibration mode is made from annealed sheets or plates having length multiple the length of curved supersonic vibration wave at excitation frequency. Apparatus may be used for producing aluminum alloy ingots and for shaped casting of hypereutectic silumins of pump group. EFFECT: increased efficiency by stabilized resonant mode of emission of supersonics in melt, increased cavitational resistance during continuous operation of apparatus and, as a result, provision for producing metal with required characteristics. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
