FILTERING EMBANKMENT ON SOFT GROUND Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry. SUBSTANCE: filtering embankment can be used in process of construction and reconstruction of embankments of line structures on soft ground when they cross poorly discharging water passages or depression forms of relief. Filtering embankment on soft ground includes prism of sorted rock limited by synthetic nonwooven fabric and by containers with sorted rock arranged on lateral faces. Containers are laid in upper and lower faces of prism. Containers laid over perimeter are interjoined and form arch in cross-section. Space inside arch is filled with rock or with interjoined or unbound containers carrying rock. Technical result of invention lies in formation of filtering embankment which stability is secured in the course of further usage thanks to avoidance of nonuniform action of concentrated load along its longitudinal axis by way of uniform re-distribution of water run-off in its base which prevents ground scouring and loss of strength and emergence of railway track subsidence.
