FIELD: sealing technology; sealing-up covers of reservoirs where depressurization is to be carried out at definite temperature of medium being sealed-up. SUBSTANCE: thermally-controlled magnetoliquid seal has circular permanent magnet, magnetic circuit and magnetic liquid filling the gap to be sealed-up. Magnetic circuit consists of movable and immovable parts; circular immovable magnetic circuit has cavity for circular permanent magnet whose one butt adjoins movable magnetic circuit; its surface directed to permanent magnet is provided with circular grooves. Movable magnetic circuit is connected with thermally-deformable member by means of mechanical linkage; gasp between butt of magnet and pole is filled with magnetic liquid. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities due to control of depressurization at change of temperature and increase of maintained pressure differential owing to effective selection of magnetic system. 1 dwg
