FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to sealing equipment and may be used for sealing of non-magnetic shafts operating in conditions of pressure drop. In magnetic fluid seal of non-magnet shaft containing a permanent magnet, different polar add-ons with concentrators forming an in-between gap filled with magnetic fluid at surfaces of the polar add-ons and concentrators faced to the non-magnet shaft there are circular grooves and magnetic fluid is introduced into the gap between the shaft and polar add-ons with concentrators; the groves are of rectangular, triangular, trapezoid or any other shape or their combination.
EFFECT: improving holdup of the magnetic fluid seal of non-magnet shaft.
