FIELD: manufacture of large aircraft antenna domes. SUBSTANCE: antenna dome is made of glass reinforced plastic of enclosed shape in sectional area, in particular with multilayer wall and cellular filler layers, and also with intermediate solid layer or with solid wall. Intermediate layer has at least three sublayers each consisting of sectors; sector edges in adjacent sublayers are spaced apart through distance affording layer-to-layer shear strength higher than sublayer tensile strength. Dome layers are alternately placed on stiff mold and then molded on; solid layer is produced from sublayers built of pre- molded sectors which are placed in butt-to-butt manner and then molded on. Sectors are made of glass reinforced plastic base of thermosetting adhesive prepreg. EFFECT: enhanced stability of radio characteristics, erosion resistance, and mechanical strength. 25 cl, 3 dwg
