SUBSTANCE: electric drive depending for its operation on periodical changes in direction of movement for transmitting axial force at unidirectional axial load is essentially composite structure assembled of electric motor, screw-type rotary-to-translational motion converter, and energy recuperator. Proposed electric drive has motor 1 mounted on electric drive frame 5. Motor shaft is coupled with converter screw 3 mounted in bearings 13, 14. Converter sliding nut 2 is coupled with lead rods 9 passing via through bores of end shield 7 and joined with axial force transmitting member 8. Energy recuperator housing 10 is joined with drive frame 5 and its piston rod 11 is coupled with axial force transmitting member 8.
